Dopeasaurus Rex: Gets a Job

Yes, that's a house sized T-Rex, on a New York subway car, looking at a poster of the T-Rex Space Force.

Dopeasaurus Rex was an idea I came up with for the 24 hr comic challenge last year. I only made one page and a cover during the challenge. So for my scripting class' final project, I chose to bring that idea to life. It's not perfect, but it was fun. I plan on giving it a tune-up before I do a print run.

The mini-comic will be available for sale whenever I do a show or convention, so this comic in its entirety will only be available until Tuesday (12/3/13). Until then, enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm still alive. Finals at SCAD was trying to take me out! But I made it through with high grades and no damage to my GPA. lol

Since it's Thanksgiving, I'd like to post a few things about what I'm thankful for.
God, life, family, a good girlfriend, jobs. And mini-comics! The last two items I condensed into a mini-comic about a house sized T-rex getting a job.

Hey folks!

A little update on Punky Doodle Dandy. Pre-orders were done a while back. I secured a few. Haha. So I'll have to ask a few folks on how to set up the store. The cover is done and we're just waiting for the press release.

In the meantime, SCAD Atlanta classes started this week. So check out my inking assignment:

The first image is the 11 x 17 under drawing, and the second is an 8" test. My task is to not over work the image. Hahaha. I'll end up doing too much.

I have a review of the HTC 8X Windows Phone coming up early next month (you fellow artists will want to pay attention) along with an update for Cathy Catastrophe fans!

With news this time!

Friends of mine from SCAD banded together and formed VOLTRON!!!

No.

But really just as awesome.
We published an anthology called Punky Doodle Dandy to celebrate all things Punk based. Steam/ Diesel/ Cyber/ Afro Punk.
With the way Cathy Catastrophe has evolved, she snugly fits into the Afro Punk Category. A lot of friends and some industry pros are lending their skills and talents on this book. And the book will be available to purchase as soon as they come from the printer.

Both of these panels are from page 1 of the 3 page special in her universe when Cathy meets a fictional band named Lying in Paris.
I had a super fun time working on this project. And I'll follow this up with a look into how Cathy's story has developed over the while. Her webcomic is just around the corner!

Renovations
